I have toured Beaver, Monaco, Country Coach, Spartan, American Coach, Newmar and Entegra factories. In every case the tour was revealing and informative. You will find there are more similarities than differences in technique, although some things do stand out. Some seem more highly organized, others chaotic. Some techniques looks superior but they all seem to work pretty well. Why not take as many tours as you can and see for yourself?

We toured the Winnebago factory in Forest City, Iowa. It was raining.
Current production models were parked near the visitor's center. Their top of the line model, was dripping water thru the overhead cabinets. I informed the desk lady. When we went to take the tour the coach was gone.
The tour guide worked like this: As we passed a building he would make a comment like--Here is where we extrude our aluminum. That went on with all the buildings we passed. Never got inside any buildings until final assembly. Pretty disappointing in my opinion.

My DW and I took the Winnebago tour in December 2014, and had a great time. The company rep. Jordan took his time to explain every step an answered all of our questions. It normally took 2 hrs. so with my questions and the conversions we had with the workers 4 hrs. later we were done. Even the questions that Jordan could not answer at the time he took time to follow up later. We have a better outlook of the Winnebago coaches of the quality and the material they are built. The factory make a large amount of the parts that go into the coaches (tanks, furniture, roof, ect.). It gave us a better understanding of the safety that Winnebago puts into their products. We recommend anyone to take the tour.
