Your right about the difference in roofing material.
There are reliable sources of information available to the OP on almost any topic.
Puzzled that communicating caution to the OP to use only products intended for their roof material somehow goes "well beyond" beyond appropriate.
I would like to give the best advice. Any product applied to an rv roof should be specifically approved for that material and purpose.
