So it looks like the filters I bought on eBay were about 1-1/2 years old. I can live with that since it's recommended to change them every year regardless of mileage. I'll end up using them well before they are expired.

Checked the Racor (ECO) air filter I purchased from Freightliner dealer here last June. Plain language 5/24/2013 date and Lot # on filter label. (It goes on MH this spring) I found I had an Alliance oil filter that's at least 10 years old, all my Fleetguard filter dates are all good (1-3yrs) .
