FireStone Air Bags Gillig Chassis need Replacing How to Identify???

Hello, I have a 91 Hawkins Aerosport HMC and My Rear Airbags are def about to go. They are cracking and look worn out. I called one RV place and they said they had a customer with a Hawkins 2 years older than mine and the parts manager was looking for a week with no luck. I see that they say airside by Firestone on the bags on the front and rear, then There looks like two letters. the rear bags have what looks like FF or FE and the front bags have FD or FH. I can't find any other indicators. Any help will be much appreciated.

Gillig Chassis.

Welcome to the Forum!

We have several members with vintage American Coaches that ride on a Gillig Chassis.

While Gillig is out of the RV chassis business, they are very much in the bus business and have an excellent reputation for technical support on the RV chasis that they designed and built.

Give them a call, have your VIN number handy and I'll bet they can give you the Firestone Part Number.

Go to Files above and do a search on Firestone. You will find the Firestone Air Spring Replacement Guide which should help you identify your air bags.

Best way is to measure what you currently have (front and rear may be different) and look in the guide.
