We went local also to try our RV out. It's fun! Lots to learn though, and that may be a good thing for our retirement age. I think my husband would be lost without the new RV hobby!

Have fun and enjoy some more! I'll take bacon and eggs please.....

Congrats! Happy retirement & happy RVing!

It does me good to see other RVers who are keeping our more "Seasoned" rigs out there pounding the pavement! You will have ample opportunities to tinker on it as time goes by and that's half the fun in my book. IRV2 is a great resource of information for repairs, tips, and upgrades, as you probably already know. A great bunch of folks with a wealth of knowledge they are willing to share to help the next person do things a bit easier and smarter!
Happy Camping!

We go local 8-10 times a year. There is a beautiful state park about 20 miles away. we get 50 waterfront days a year for about 20% of what taxes would be on a lake house & I don't even have to cut the grass.

Used to go to an RV park about 10 miles from where we lived while we were both working.

It was the same as going 500 miles...we were away from the hub bub and enjoying ourselves.

I am so envious, I can't wait to get out there and start enjoying the life. Congratulations!

Big part of our plans is local boondocking. Here in Nevada almost everywhere you look is BLM, so we'll definitely be taking advantage of the lost cost get-aways.

Be well, and enjoy!
