It's not just "what license is needed to drive a class A"? It's what kind of Class A you have. Both of your posted choices are BIG Class A's and weigh a lot. Most state issued drivers licenses' are based on weight. Down here in Texas, anything under 26K GVWR you can drive with a regular license. I'm no expert on this topic, but I've read lot of posts here from people all over the country and each state seems to be different once you get over 26K. So yeah, you need to see what your requirements would be in your state because you'll be WAY over 26K with either of these choices.
Here's another little tidbit you might want to consider as well...
Once you purchase a big rig like you're considering (or any rig for that matter), the next step will be insurance. One of the first questions they'll ask you is, "how many years experience do you have driving a large MH"? Your answer will be none. That will make a difference on your premiums.
There are MANY, MANY things to consider when shopping for a MH.

I sure don't remember that question. They do want to know how many miles you will be traveling just like in our other vehicles. But then each insurance company is different and may ask completely different things. Like you said, there are many many things to consider!
