Used Class A
In October 2017, my wife and I traveled from the DFW area of Texas to the Houston area and decided to stop by at a place that had a 2013 Winnebago Adventurer Class A 37F floor plan advertised on the Internet. We liked the looks of it, it only had 16,000 miles, and was priced for $88,900. Over the next several months, I looked online to see for what other prices that same model was being advertised. My research revealed another dozen units being advertised at various sites around the country priced between the $88,900 near Houston and $194,000 in Connecticut - for the exact same coach. In January of this year, we drove down to take another (closer) look at the rig and to drive it. We drove it home for $87,000 and, admittedly, didn't get a very good "predelivery" demonstration on the rig. When we got it home, we had to have the carburetor on the Onan generator replaced and I have replaced the six tires because of dry rot. Everything else seems to work okay and we feel we got a good buy. However, from everything I have read on this and other forums, the situation usually boils down to "buyer beware" whether buying new or used. Given the price differential of the units available at the time, I feel we made a reasonably priced decision.
