Fleetwood Axon/Holiday Rambler Reno, brother is thinking about buying a new rig.

In the process of trying to put a trip through Canada together, that will end with me at my brothers place in Montana, we started talking about rigs.

He is looking to get a new one, this came as a shock. He is VERY experienced in the RV world, but has expressed no real interest in going out over the last 7+ years, and told me he just didn't have the time, he didn't with 2 young kids and seeing as how they both work. Now that the youngest is 5, he wants to spend some time with the family on the road.

Guess my trip planning got him scratching that itch again.

He is just looking for an entry level Class A, under $100k and came across the Axon/Reno line. Apparently the Axon is available in red, his youngest thinks it's a 'camping firetruck', lol.

These are apparently new models, both available in single slide, one full-wall 29' with a king bed, and a bedroom slide 25' with a queen bed. He likes the 29' for the room, she apparently likes the 25' because the bathroom is 'huge'. F53 is the only chassis, which is fine.

Anyone own one or have any experience checking one out?

Just looking for an opinion on it, if it exists. If not no big deal.

Thanks in advance!

-Greg

Opinion comparing my fleetwood:

The Axon / Reno has a lower ride height. I have to climb a steep driveway to park at home. These would not make the grade.

I have a few more windows.

My basement doors open like a bus.

Otherwise the frame and internals are probably about the same.
