New to this site. Need help with replacing broken latch on compartment door of a 2001 Pace Arrow. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forum,
I'd probably search around some HW venders like these. Other readers may have a favorite they've used.
Products - Southco
Stainless Steel Latches | Industrial Latches | SPEP
Be well.

Check Fleetwood parts on argrv.com. Call for help, they do know their stuff and it's the best place to start.

My Fleetwood has Tri Mark latches on it.
I replaced one a few years back and was able to buy directly from them.
Hope this helps

Take the latch off, go to any good sized RV parts place and they'll have one. Take it home, replace the broken one, then look on look on line now that you have a mfg and P/N to see if you find better pricing.

latch on bagage compartmet
The problem isn't getting the part, the problem is getting it out of the door.
Thanks to all that have replied with helpful info as to where to get the part.

Are we talking about the latch itself or the handle that activates the latch?

Open cover on inside unhook and remove screws from end and it comes out.

Look up RB manufacturing they make a replacement for most brands and they are metal not plastic. Have been slowing replacing mine as they break.

My latches were riveted in and I just drill them out, you will then have to remove the inside cover to the paddle handle and go from there.

to reomve the latch, first remove the inside cover from the flip handle. next remove all the screws holding the end rail of whichever side latch is broken. Now the fun begins.........the whole end must come off BUT it is glued in place. I took a block of hardwood and placed it on the outside against the rail and slowly tapped the end rail off. DON"T rush it take your time if you bend it you cannot get it looking good again. Once the glue releases, you can pull the end cap off as you disconnect the latch bar at the handle. The latch is bolted on to the end rail and the nuts are hidden inside the end piece.Reassembly is reverse order, I used clear silicone as the glue/sealing medium when putting the end rail on, you don't need a lot. When replacing the end cap screws, don't overtighten them as they only screw into a half channel so there's not a lot of meat there.
The latch is 18.00 from fleetwood dealer but I have heard there are replacement latches that are not made of plastic. So far I've only replaced 1 since new................
