The walls go on, the roof is last befor it goes to the paint shop.
One thing, it’s closed and empty now, sad. The workers were all proud hard working people.

I feel sorry for these accidents and I always gives me the chills. If you drove as many mile I have RVing you know crazy things happen.

Once I had a turkey fly into my windshield, if I tried to avoid it I would have flipped my Ellipse with the Jeep. I just hanged on and drove thru it. It took a quick decision against your instincts. You would know what I am talking about if you experienced it.
I remember your posts from when that happened! I think the bird was still stuck in the windshield and/or feathers inside with a concave indention in the glass.

The main color of that coach was a dark green color if I remember correctly.

Safe travels,
Mark

Something kids learn early as a part of driver's ed here:

Just hit the damned deer. If you try to miss it, good chance you'll crash.

Good luck with trying to make motorhome construction safer. I'm personally going to keep attempting to expose the misleading statements in the instructional videos which show simulated front tire blowouts.
I want to reveal how easy it is to safely handle a steer tire blowout, and also reveal that it's the driver who loses control of the vehicle.

When I saw the pictures I thought the sane thing. Not sure how he didn’t break his knees or legs.

The photo from Scenic Route shows what should have happened worst case. In my experience A-gas coach construction is much less robust than that of a DP. However, neither type will fare well when scraped against the side of a hill. Glad the driver was OK.

Prof T has it right. His Wanderlodge ( and mine ) could be rolled back upright and driven away. Been done before. No sticks, no staples and no thin wall tubing.

Same with our coach. Our first bus was hit head-on when the driver of an oncoming car fell asleep, and we both walked away. Our coach body has a gazillion rivets holding things together, so I'm not worried about separation like seen in this accident. Unfortunately, they don't build many like this any more.

richard5933. I will take my sticks and staples coach over your 46 year old coach any day.

So glad everyone is ok. Basically in a high speed collision a class A is a death trap. The salesmen never tell you about this risk . Too many people find out the hard way.

That's your choice - to each his/her own.

No need to get personal about this though.
