Fleetwood Storm has fan sound under the hood?

I have a used 1997 Fleetwood Southwind Storm on a Chevy P30 frame with a 454 eng. When I open the hood and turn on the batteries. I hear a fan come on to the left and seems like it is under the dash. Also another sound like gurgling under the dash on the drivers side under the hood. There is also a fan that come on in the back under the bed somewhere. Does anyone know what is going on? I loose battery power over night at a dry camp if I leave them on over night. I even put a battery on/off switch on both the house & eng. battery to help. The batteries are new.

We own a 96 Fleetwood on a P30 chassis. Ours does not have a fan under the dash, or in the bedroom.

We do have an auxiliary fan on our transmission oil cooler, which is not standard P30 equipment. The only P30 factory electric fans are the A/C cooler fan, under the hood.

The HVAC blower fan is on the passenger side. It's located behind the kick panel, under the dash.

Suspect the previous owner has added fans in the locations you describe. Unfortunately, you will need to determine where exactly, and why.

The one under the bed is most likely your coach converter/charger. It has a fan inside the unit to cool it down when converting/charging your house batteries.

Turn your dash fan and heater controls to off and see if you hear the same noises. A lot of times when you reconnect power, AC/heater vent doors want to reposition.

Lastly, if your house batteries aren't lasting overnight, it could be your batteries or battery charger. Having the fan turn on immediately under the bed may be signaling your converter/charger is going bad. You need to put a meter on it see if it's charging the batteries.
