Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I would try to find the make and model of the seat and call the seat manufacturer for advice.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

If the screw gear is unobstructed it's probably the switch

You need to check the wires and make sure none of them got pulled out. If not, you'll need to get under there with a volt meter and see if the switch and or motor has power. Typically, the passenger seat is also six way. Test that switch first to see what contact on the switch has power for the front to back motion.

My pax side front seat failed in the fore/aft mode. I had been noticing small pieces of plastic appearing on the floor around the seat.
I took the seat off of its mount and removed the hardware that the seat mounts to and has the motors. The frame rails that the fore/aft function works with were removed. Those rails have six plastic "spacers", three on each side of each rail. The spacers on both rails had broken and were falling off of the rails.
I took the middle spacers off and placed them in the slots for the rear spacers on both rails. The rails were then reinstalled and the movement hardware reattached to the seat. The seat was then reattached to the seat mount, the pedestal. All is working as usual.
I tried to buy new rails and found that there were none available. I contacted three suppliers and they did not have a source for the plastic spacers or the rails. They could only supply the entire mechanical unit, for around $500.
