Flickering led lights

Hey there! We just bought a 1999 Itasca sunrise se
Previous owners replaced lights with led lights. Run fine when off battery but flicker when plugged into house. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Neighbor in this RV just had a similar problem. Found a 12v fuse that was not pushed all the way in.

LEDs are sensitive to voltage. My guess is when on battery, the voltage is constant. When plugged in, the battery charger is cycling on and off when the battery reaches full charge causing a variation in voltage and resultant flickering.

A common cause of this is weak house batteries. The converter output can be a bit noisy allowing more voltage variations then the LEDs like. Healthy house batteries should be able to even out that voltage.

How old are the house batteries? Unless they are fairly new and you are confident they have been treated well consider replacing them.

If that doesn't help then you may want to get a new more modern converter.
