Floor covering

We need to replace the carpet in the cab of our 2014 Bounder 36E. Need a recommendation for anywhere in east Texas.

We too are in need of new carpet in east Texas. I talked to a salesman at a company in Beaumont a couple of months ago. Over the phone, he sounded pretty confident that they could handle the job but i haven't made my way down to the store to get an estimate.

Anyways, if you're near Beaumont, Porter's Flooring America is the company i talked to. They've been around for many years and do residential and commercial work.

Need to replace the carpet in the cab? I got to ask why? Not only is this prohibitively cost expenensive area to replace but should also not see any real "wear". It is an area that will see real dirt. Have you looked at having a carpet cleaning company come and clean the carpet?

The carpet is not dirty but the pile has unraveled around the engine cover and the backing is showing in a number of places,

DW has also found a company in Dallas, again need to drive the MH there to get a true estimate,

I'm nowhere near TX but I caution you on carpet replacement. I had mine done a year ago and was not at all happy with the results. Obviously it has a lot to do with the installer. I hired a "Master Certified by RVDA and RVIA" mobile repair guy who inturn contracted a carpet installer who supposedly had done RV's before. My biggest mistake was not asking to see some previous work. Doing the dog house is a challenge at best. If you have slides there is one correct way to do those .... at least in my estimation. Since having it done I have had him return twice to correct areas with problems.

No doubt there are professionals out there that can do the job. Just make sure you find one. House carpet installers don't necessarily understand the tricks of the trade for RV's.
