Anyone have a chance to try that GSC program?
If so, will the card turn on the pump from the truck isle, without having to go inside?

I applied and was approved, got an email 3 weeks later that said they were swamped and I would get my card soon. Had to leave on 2-3 month trip before it arrived . On our first P/FJ stop I went in to bitch. They looked puzzled and handed me their RV discount card. They didn't seem to know anything about a Good Sam P/FG card. Anyway, just swipe your CC, then the pump will ask for your RV discount card, workin like a champ!

Have applied but not yet received the card. e-mail says they are over loaded with GS members. Suppose to get the card 1st/2nd week of March. It is suppose to allow you to swipe at the pump so DW doesn't have to go inside while I wait for them to turn the pump on. The savings will also be a benefit.

I believe the GS program is a charge card. It will apply your discount and all fuel purchased on the card is due at the end of the month. At least that is what I read.

Not in the truck lanes. Per the FJ website, if you want a discount from the truck lanes (and you don't have the new GS charge card) you have to go inside to pay.

It must vary from station to station because we use our PFJ discount card all the time at the truck pumps. We have always been able to use pump start and receive the discount. We do have to go inside to pickup our credit card receipt though.

Are you sure you're actually getting the discount? It worked that way in the past, but on my last trip (a few months ago) I noticed that the couple-of-cent discount wasn't being applied. There is no notice to you of any kind at the pump, the discount just doesn't appear. It's easy to miss.

We used the PFJ RV card at the truck pumps all last summer and got both cash price and the discount without fail.

I'm not talking about last year, but a recent change. From the FlyingJ website:

RV discounts available at Truck Diesel Lanes ONLY when you use the procedures below to start the pump

RV or Regular Auto Lanes:

Insert your credit/debit card first at the pump
(If prompted, enter your credit card billing zip code)
When prompted, insert your Frequent Fueler Advantage Card
Select grade of fuel (gas/diesel)
Pump Fuel
When finished fueling, hang up nozzle. Receipt will print at pump and discount details will be on receipt

Truck Diesel Lanes:

Insert only the loyalty card at the pump to turn on the pump
Do not insert any other card such as a credit or debit card at the pump or the transaction will fail
Pump fuel
When finished fueling, hang up nozzle
Pull forward to clear lane so that others may fuel
Go inside and see cashier for payment

And this is in fact what I experienced. If anyone hasn't, yet, great.
