FMCA Roadside Assistance going up!

Right now you can get one year of roadside assistance on your MH for $74. On February 1st that price will change to $159. Even though my Good Sam Roadside Assistance doesn't expire until April 30, I just called FMCA and got the $74 deal. I had planned to change anyway on that date. Just too good a deal to pass up!

Does anyone know if GS will give any rebate if you cancel early?

Yes, FMCA membership, which has its on set of benefits is required in order to purchase their optional roadside assistance plan.

As Isaac-1 said, you do have to be a member, but the medical assist that comes with the membership is worth more than the cost of membership!

Escapees also uses SafeRide RV, same as FMCA. Their price is $99 and I would assume the benefits are comparable but do not know for certain.

https://www.escapees.com/benefits/es...de-assistance/

$99 + $39/year is still a bit cheaper than $159. Until Escapees raises their price, of course.

If you have the F53 chassis remember that Ford provides roadside assistance for a number of years after purchase.

If they do raise the price to $159 l bet this page silently disappears.

If your FMCA membership is valid for three years, you can get the roadside service at $74.00 per year for three years for a total of $222.00.

I am a member of FMCA and have their RA. Got an email regarding the price increase to $159 for Motorhomes and $129 for towables. The email specifically said policies are only available for one year at a time.

If you're interested you might try going online. I just did and I have a three year contract for $222. I did have to extend my FMCA membership to cover the same period, but there's a multi-year discount.

After reading the negative experiences on FMCA about SafeRide, I switched back to GS ERA.

Cool! Thanks for the tip! My membership was expiring in two months. Thanks again for recommendation!

I have used the FMCA Roadside Assistance three times. Each time, I was happy with their response.

They even bailed me out when my College Son needed a jump start hundreds of miles away from me. Great Service!

I switched from GS to FMCA RA because of the significant difference in cost between them. With this increase from FMCA that makes them about the same as Coachnet which has been around for a long time. Rather than commit the funds now to 3 years of FMCA membership and 3 years of RA, I'll wait till my membership is up for renewal and evaluate my options then.
