Ford F-53 Engine Compartment Fuse Panel

How to Open engine Fuse box?
My 2012 Ford F-53 V-10 Chassis engine compartment fuse panel.
Yours may be a bit different.

Hi everyone.
I finally got some pictures of the engine compartment fuse panel and how to open easily. The side latch has nothing to do with it (X) but below it you see a small latch (arrow) Pull forward and cover will hinge forward.

Also note the green fuse holder and wire coming out of it. Not sure what this goes to yet. Anyone know?

Pictures are worth 10000 words.

LOL. Opening that box the first time had me flummoxed as well!!

That inline fuse could be for some add on. But from my experience just about anything electrical on these things is up in the air.

They use a fuse similar to that for the hydraulic pump. They claim it is supposed to be close to the pump, but I've never found it.

Morning John,
....... That was a good question to start my Monday morning and was a bit of a brain teaser since I have not had that question for a while.
That Green wire and the inline 15amp fuse actually goes to your Fog lights.

I hope all is well and maybe we will see you at another rally down the road.
Safe Travels…..

Thank You,

So the Green wire is a dedicated circuit just for the fog lights.

I'll look for that again on my 2017. I know I have fog lamp wires and plugs hanging down in a mess. They aren't pluged into anything but I'm not sure if I have fog lamps? Where are they located? I figure it's an option.
