Angry Ford Rear-Axle Recall

Back in August I got a letter from Ford about replacing the bearings and fluid in my 2021 Georgetown motor home. It was a Ford safety recall issue.

I had the work done by an authorized Ford mechanic. They replaced the bearing and bearing race and installed new rear axle fluid.

All was well until I drove the unit home. At highway speed the ABS break light came on. When I stopped on an incline another warning came on about "Holding on Incline not available" and I also found out the curse control did not work.

I took it back to the mechanic and they replaced the star wheel sensors. If this sensor is not operating correctly it causes these problems. However, that did not solve the problem either.

The mechanic contacted Ford technical support and they are not sure what is causing the problem but are working on a solution. Seems that other Ford axles where this safety issue was done on are having the same problem.

Has anyone else had this safety recall procedure done on their unit and have you had the same issues.

Does anyone have a solution to correcting the problems that occurred after the bearings were replaced.

My chassis was not involved in this recall so I do not have first hand info. I previously ran across this thread that may give you some insight to your issue. In particular look at post 87.
