Forest River Georgetown XL

A fellow workamper has a 2005 for sale for a good price, selling because he has Parkinson’s.
Looking for anyone who has experience with these to share.

I bought a 2008 Georgetown last year. 28000 original miles. The Previous owner took great care of it. My wife and I love it. Especially love the floor plan. We were lucky that the PO had just put new tires on it too. I put a 5 Star tune in it and it noticeably improved the performance. Next major purchase will be shocks. The Ford V-10 purrs like a mitten and roars like a lion going up steep hills. Nature of the beast. I like the fact that you can change your own oil and tranny fluid too. My advice is to check the engine and tranny thoroughly for leaks. Check the age and condition of the tires (big money in tires) and ask if the shocks have ever been changed (if not buy some new ones).

Stepside,

as Trickdog we also have an 08 Georgetown 373. I agree with his assessment, condition and maintenance records are crucial with an older coach. Also, which systems or items have been updated. At that age, TV's, couches, appliances, are starting to age. The biggest thing we checked was for leaks and repaired damage.

I think the build quality and materials of the older Georgetowns are above the newer ones. Keep in mind the price is only perfect for you if the DW loves the floorplan! The floorplan is what sold mine on the 373.
