Most gassers have a front door but it's pretty much where the passenger seat on a diesel is, with that seat and the front wheels where the door of a diesel is. Such a door allows straight entry to the coach but takes up little or no more space in the front of the coach than the corner door and set back passenger seat common with diesels.

My wife and I have been looking at class A's, Both gas and diesel for the last 6 months and both of us really dislike the entry door at the passenger seat that so many DP's come with. It just seemed like a really unhandy to to us, YMMV of course.

We did come across one Winnebago mid door DP but it was in poor shape for the price the dealer was asking and we passed on it with no regrets. A mid door DP in good shape at a realistic price for it's condition is high on our wish list but we really haven't seen many for sale.

We purchased our first unit and the next will be mid entry I like the wife to be even with me when we drive and the mid entry is better for getting stuff into and out of the coach.

Just be aware that you may lose a full width/pass thru basement storage and a slide out due to a mid door coach..

I've owned 3 diesels and TWO of them were mid door. Loved those coach's just as much as my current with front door. The door placement is just a feature and it probably wouldn't even make it into my top five must have features.

My Winne Destination 39W has the midship door and love it. I had looked for a midship for 2 years before finding what I wanted.
1. my friend owned a front door, he had a little fender bender and could not get out had to go out the emergency window.
2. Every time you want to get out for gas, the passenger has to move.
3. The sliding floor for passenger is a PITA.
4. In and out is more in the middle of MH, and makes it allot easier for guest to
enter.
Just my 2 cents.
