found AC problem now looking for a TXV

After a lot of trouble and work I finally found my problem a plugged TXV (Thermal Expansion Valve) on the AC. Now after trouble with no start and a bad 78-000831 fuse card I need a TXV.
It is a Egelhof brand, the numbers are either iiF31, or IIF31, or LLF31, or 11F31 not sue what the first 2 digits are. It also has a 3301 number. It is a 134a refrigerant valve but I don't know the size or tonnage
.
I have tried several HVAC places with no success finding one. Still searching.

Most exp. valves have a screen on the inlet side. Carefully remove that screen, with a small bent pick, and clean it. When you see the screen, you'll know weather the valve needs replacement or just a screen cleaning.

I took the txv out it does not have a screen. I have flushed the lines and got some dark oil looks rusty. Still have pressure problems so I am flushing the evaporator well, next comes the condenser. I have not found a Dryer yet.

Google acmeairparts, I’ve used them for ac parts, they have most RV ac parts in stock.

Bill, on many Monacos the receiver dryer is attached to the condenser. Your condenser may be located in a rear compartment on the left side. Venting will be in the door.
If your coach is as I described, the hinged door causes hoses and fittings to fail. Look for oil at the connections near the door hinges.

Any chance you might find an older guy at a local auto parts store who would grab an AC catalog and see if they can find the NF31 or a cross reference? I think it might not be a custom motorhome part as much as something that was automotive and off the shelf.

I found small balls of desiccant from the dryer every where it could possible go. I had the same thing happen on my Pace Arrow Vision. Now flushing lines and blowing nitrogen threw them. I am going to change the dryer and try again, maybe it is not the TXV because the line before It was clogged with desiccant.

I just googled the part number. No wonder your struggling, that's the same exp valve MOPAR used 50 years ago. Now I understand why no screen. That was the worst valve I ever had to deal with.

Oh Geeesh.....I forgot about Acmeairparts. They are an off shoot of Acme Air-conditioning. I did a few Saturdays at Acme, installing after marker AC.
Glad you found resolve.
