FR Georgetown slide outs

First post!!

We have just purchased a 2006 35' forest river georgetown with double slideouts. I'm very new to having a RV with a slide out. My concern is that when I slide the rooms out the bottom moves quite a bit and then the top catches up and when moving in the bottom. Moves first and the top is so delayed that when it eventually catches up it rubs on the ceiling. Is this just a lubrication issue? Any help is appreciated.

Our slide lifts and comes in above the floor on rollers. It tips as it starts to move and then levels out when fully in or drops into place when extended. However, it never scrapes the ceiling and I think yours may have an adjustment issue.
I would start by determining the manufacturer of the slide system and the model. That may be on a sticker somewhere that lists all installed equipment with model and serial numbers. Ours was on one of the doors in a kitchen cabinet. Once you determine that, you can probably download the service manual in pdf format from the manufacturers website.
