Freezing temps coming after de winterizing

Good morning everybody. Since temps were getting above freezing from 50's to 70's I de winterized our 5th wheel, pull behind, and class A. I looked at the weather for next week and they are saying we are going to be dropping to about 29 for a couple nights. Should I re-winterize or just drain the water lines.

At that temp, I don't worry about it. Especially if daytime temps are 40's to 50's.

OK cool because I ran out of RV antifreeze pretty quickly with 3 types. Thank you.

I'd think you'd need more than a few hours of a freeze to do any damage. We experience a lot of freezing night time temps here in Texas, but it's usually just before dawn and only an hour or two. I don't think about winterizing the RV until a really hard freeze is predicted.

Our temps are dipping down to 25 for the next few nights. I'm going to blow out the water lines today just in case. I sure don't want to take a chance of developing a leak from freezing water.

The crazy part is I thought for sure winter was over so I got everything ready for spring. Then the weather wanted to confuse everyone lol.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. Keeping my compressor Max at 35 PSI. I know everyone says 45 PSI but older motor homes have tempers [emoji12]

I don't know much about your rigs, but in mine I would just run the heater at about 60 degrees for those few days.

I was lazy this year and did not winterized. So when we had below freezing temp over several days around the clock I set the furnace at 40°. It did cost me 6 gallons of pro pane for the 2-3 weeks. Oh I did have 120 power but several RVs are on the same line so no heaters.

Live in WNC and did not winterize at all this year. Everything seems to be working just fine. This is not the first time I have gone without winterizing, but I do have some small ceramic heaters, one inside and one in the wet bay. I also have the furnaces set at 45 degrees as a back up. I always look to see how long temps will be below freezing, how far below and keep an eye on my heaters as I am plugged in at home.

If the temp takes a dip, we just turn on a couple of space heaters in the motor home, place a 40 watt light bulb on an extension cord in the water bay, make sure the water heater winter switch is on and wait for warmer weather.

We never winterize due to heading south in late October.

We just got back from the Rio Grande Valley, and don't want to winterize with the pink stuff. temps here 60 in the day maybe 29 and only for a couple of hours. I am taking the rig to a repair shop for some work next week, so I did blow out the lines.

I'll cast a dissenting vote. I do not mess around with my water system and cold temps. I have re-winterized three times this year. It seems to be a small price to pay in order to prevent a larger price in repair bills. Besides, how accurate are temperature forecasts where you live? Nope, not taking the chance.

I was wondering because my water tank is in the back of all my rigs. 2 are exposed and 1 is in a cabinet. I just purchased 6 gallon jugs of RV antifreeze for the safe side. Here in south Carolina some times we will have a 50 degree difference in a day.
