Freightliner Service near Ft. Worth, Texas

We have a 2014 Tiffin MH on a Freightliner chassis. It's time to get the chassis service done. I called Freightliner, and their over the phone estimate to do the service seemed a bit high to me. I am looking for a reputable diesel shop in the Ft. Worth area that can do the service. Can anyone recommend a shop in the area?

Thanks in advance.

Have you talked to PPL in Clearburn? There is always the Rev Group in Alvarado but they might make Freightliner look cheap.

I’ve used Premier Truck South Dallas and had good experience (I20 just west of I45). They’re a Freightliner Oasis.

I do believe that there are a couple of Rush Truck Centers in the area.
I can't speak from experience as whether or not they are recommended. I typically do all of my own service.

If you can find someone other than Fort Worth Freightliner I would take it elsewhere. The first time I had our Allegro RED serviced, they kept it for four days and the charges were high. After that, I used Speedco in Irving and they serviced it while I waited. The price was just a little over half what Freightliner charged. The Fort Worth Rush truck center is almost next door to the Freigthliner shop.

I took mine there to have the 15,000-mile service done and showed the page out of Freightliners manual of what needs to be done like retorque, hub oil and etc. They said all they do is change oil and filters they have never done even quarter of the requirements on Freightliners required service list. SpeedCo basically agreed with Rev Group claiming they haven't done half things on Freightliners list.

I would not take it to the REV service center in Alvarado, nor would I take it to a Freightliner dealer. Talk to the locals and find an independent...that's who I use....they just raised their hourly rate from $65 to $75. Which is about half the others I mentioned.

There's kind of a hole-in-the-wall-looking -type place close to the Rendon area that locals have told us has a pretty good reputation when we were in the area a few years ago. They do work on motorhomes what what we've been told and do a good job for a reasonable price. We've never used them ourselves so can't give any opinion from a personal standpoint but you might give them a call to see what kind of feeling you get from them after you describe what you want done (list what's on your FCCC PM specifications).

It's called "Pro Truck and Trailer" -- contact information and location:

5900 Retta Mansfield Rd
Burleson, TX 76028

Google SV ...go HERE ...it's in a rural location and not a fancy place (low overhead)

Where did you end up getting your 15000 mile service. I’m due in the next month and trying to decide whether to go back to premier truck Dallas south.

I didn't have a good conversation with the service manager when I was trying to take mine in to Premier Freightliner in South Dallas, so I used a small shop not far from my home.

I have heard good things about this company.

My RV just turned 10,000 miles. At this time, I am debating whether or not to take the Freightliner course in Gaffney, and get complete service done there. When I purchased the coach, I was told the engine oil and generator oil were changed. Being 5+ years old, that is all I know about this rig. There are a couple of shops in the area I am going to check out as well. The high hourly shop rate at Premier Truck in Ft. Worth is more than I want to spend.

Thanks to all. I’m still waiting to hear from Premier Truck Dallas South. May be a sign.

ABC companies is quite convenient. Will call them tomorrow.
