Fresh air intake mods

I have a 99 Beaver with a bubble AC unit. never have been able to use the fresh air vent settings because there's no ductwork attached to the bubble. The air doors open and suck in the air from under the front cap, which stinks like diesel, and it's usually hot to boot.

So I set about to creating a fresh air intake system.

first was where to get the air. I was just going to hang some hose down at the bottom of the cap, but that will mostly suck in hot air off the pavement. I noticed that Beaver made the headlight buckets too small for the adjustment brackets they used, and had to cut out the top and bottom of each bucket to make them fit. So now I have a source of cooler air that's pressurized by the forward movement of the coach.

I 3D printed a simple duct that I glued over the hole in the bucket. On the bubble end, I printed some ducts that glued to the flanges outside of the air doors.

Hooked everything together with 2" shop vac hose. So now, at least a chance of some fresh air.

No, just from the tank, fuel fillers, and tank vents. Not nearly as bad now as it has been in the past, but the coach has been sitting for a few weeks in hot weather with the front cap vented while I had the filler bucket off, so it's probably had a lot of the smell baked out.

Looks good to me, but I would just seal off the AC evap cover totally and put a couple in the sides of the coach like the old winnie's had.
