Fresh water tank fill problem
I have an '05 Mandalay by Four Winds (Thor). When I try to fill the fresh water tank the water runs out of two openings on the opposite side of the coach as fast as I put it in. The fill is on the drivers side and the openings are on the passengers side. There is a dump valve on the drivers side but it is closed. Please help this is driving me crazy!

The tank isn't already full by chance? Most tanks have an overflow outlet when they are full.

What are the "two openings on the other (passenger) side" supposed to be for?

Sounds to me like your low point drains are open.

Thanks for the reply. What does that mean and what can I do about it?

Low point drains valves are used to drain water from all pipes - typically when preparing for winter cold weather storage. Additionally your fresh water tank likely has a drain valve. Find these valves and ensure they are closed.
The fresh water overflow is a tube extending from the top of the water tank. Used to ensure the tank is not overfilled. When filling the tank one usually fills until water starts to come out of the overflow - indicating the tank is full. Its common for a siphon action to occur and water to continue to come out the overflow for a couple few minutes after shutting off the incoming water.

Don't necessarily trust the sensor readings.

I think you are on the money. I'll look for the low point valve but I think the siphon action is what I have been bugged by.
Thanks much.
