Fridge cap

I have a 1999 Rexhall Rexair with a norcold fridge. Fridge works fine. I bought a new vent cap for the roof because the old one was broken. When I took off the old one, the plastic piece that comes up through the roof from the fridge is broken also. The piece that the cap screws onto. Question is, is that a replaceable part or is that a part of the fridge? If it is replaceable how do I change it out? Can I buy that part through Norcold or an RV parts house? Any help is appreciated.

If the cap was an exact fit, then the roof mount flange should be available from the same manufacturer.
How the part is installed may be the issue, the mount flange may be under the fiberglass roof , and require fridge removal to change it out.
Do you have a fiberglass roof?
Any chance you could post a picture?

You should be able to buy one off e-bay or Amazon. There is some variation in sizes, so make sure you get the correct one for your new cap, or buy a complete set with cap and mounting flange. Most of the flanges screw on top of the roof with a LOT of the roof sealant around the screws and the flange. It takes a lot of scraping to get to the screws and get it off. If you have a rubber roof, make sure you don't cut through the rubber scraping the sealant off. I have had mine off before to access the top of the fridge until I learned the trick of just cutting the screen then re-attaching it with cable ties.

It's not part of the fridge - just a plastic flange that the RV maker installed to go through the roof. You can buy both halves to make a new set, or maybe find a matching roof flange by itself.
