Fridge Door Lock

I'm looking for a 2-door residential fridge door latch for traveling. I've seen one here before but can't find it again. It mounts between the doors and has a vertical bar that swings to the side when not latched. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

The "Fridge Fixer" has been discussed a lot on the forums but I'm not sure if that's what you're describing:

FridgeFixer

But it won't work on a side-by-side ...that isn't what you're describing as a two-door though, right?

No room for them. Our fridge sets back and is with in 1/2" clear on each side of the doors. No room to attach anything to the side of the fridge housing. What I'm looking for attaches on the front between the 2 doors.

Etrailer has this one!

This page shows one a bit different that comes in different lengths.

When you say 2-door, do you mean a freezer on top or bottom ...and not a side-by-side, correct?

And did you see a picture of it posted in a thread here on the forum? If so, here is a synopsis of fridge lock images recently posted on iRV2 ...go HERE

Any of those look like what you'd be looking for?

If not, post a quick pic of your refrigerator so we can get a better idea of your application.

Sorry about that. I haven't been much help on the forum lately. This is the 4th time I've given bad information in the last week. Time to take a break

Actually, the page you linked to had a link to a thread on irV2 that gave good information. Think it was on the second row.

You did good!

I have the one that Mudfrog suggested on my French door fridge, and it works great. I have it mounted at the top of the cabinet and it holds the 2 side by side doors securely closed.

The latch that was installed from the factory left a lot to be desired as it just secured the 2 fridge doors to the freezer drawer below. I had all three doors come open on one occasion with the fridge and freezer loaded, and it jammed the locking mechanism to the point I had to use a hammer to get it free.

I installed this slide latch and use a strip of velcro around the upper door handles.
