Front Cap Separation

Hello, looking for suggestions as to why the front end cap is separating from the side wall. It was fixed by General RV. It’s been over a year so they won’t honor the repair. Tiffin customer service says I have to go to RedBay and wait up to 2 weeks, no drop off because it is over 4yr old. It appears that the rivets has popped again. My main question is why would there is so much stress on the passenger side. It is by the V10 emblem and down. No crack on windshield, for now! Very disappointed!

Sounds like it may end up to be a DIY job?

Pictures would be nice for us to give better advice.

Just guessing, I'd try to find if it's possible to put SS screws in place of the rivets...perhaps flat head so they aren't to obvious...and use flat washers on the back side with locking nuts. The SS type of lock nut with the plastic insert. That way you can tighten them so they are SNUG but not super tight so there is room for them to wobble a bit allowing some relief for the two pieces to move opposite each other without too much strain.

I would just fix it myself instead of trusting a shop to do it right. Grab a floorjack and some boards to get it leveled out. Install better and bigger hardware and be done with it.

I'm sure you could fix it yourself but it would be wise to call Tiffin and ask for the proper proceedure. They have had some issues with the front caps seperating and know the best way to make a perminant repair.
