We use our front 32" as the monitor for our rear and side view cameras. Best one you've ever seen.

We bought ours with the old cat tubes still installed. Haven't bothered to change them we will do that when they die. They actually produce better sound and the picture is fine. Maybe my 52 year old eyes can't tell the difference any more. With all that said get what you want. It is an rv, you are already splurging unless you are full timing it. We have the two and that is fine for us. One over the captain and copilot the other in the bed room.

Two people and a dog, and four tvs in the rig. And yeah we use all four! Front tv is great when we are working, or prepping dinner. Big tv on the televator is for movie watching. Bedroom tv for whatever. And outside tv all the time, sports, movies, you name it. And yes we do get out occasionally too. [emoji3]

I think it's more about the furniture layout and the location of a TV in relation to that furniture. Given the option, I'd delete the front TV in favor of a storage cabinet.

When I was a child our family had one B&W TV until about 1963 or so then my dad bought a color TV. With the purchase of our coach we have jumped from two to six flat panel HD TVs of assorted sizes. We've come a long way baby!

This discussion is coming up more and more. I guessing younger buyers drove this trend. We grew up in a house with one B&W TV where today it's common to have a TV in practically every room. Our DS came with four and while we don't watch a ton of TV there is no talk of removing any of them. Last two NCAA tourneys I sometimes had all four on at the same time as I couldn't sit down. So overall no complaints from us with all the TV's.

We got the forward TV with the retractable bed over the driver option. We leave it on and use an HDMI splitter so it shows the same as the Mid TV. That way, at the table we each can see a TV without twisting.

Carry a Spear

We carry a spear! Only use the over the windshield TV for over night camping. But when we are set up for long term watching it is very much like a Sports Bar. Gives us a stiff nick! We carry a 32" that is on a stand. It can be place anywhere the Wife likes at the moment, on the dash, desk or kitchen table. We can also take it out side in case we want the neighbors to watch with us.

I have a 2000 Newmar Dutch Star that has a tv in the front between the driver and passenger. It's the original- an old heavy tube tv that I can't use with my DirectTV receiver because it doesn't have an HDMI cable! I'm going to replace the old tube tv with a new led tv, but how do I get the hdmi cable from the cabinet that holds the receiver to the cabinet that holds the tv?

In order to answer this it would be helpful for you to describe where you keep your receiver.

If you have a cabinet directly above the drivers seat and to the left of the TV cabinet, you can run your hand along the metal wall between the TV cabinet and the storage cabinet. You'll find a pass thru hole, which is where you can pass the HDMI cable through once you remove that boat anchor that is still in place.

Front overhead TV is very handy when eating or watching Football. We have 4 in our Allegro which we bought used. GrandKids(4 and 2 years old) love seeing their cartoons twice in the living room area and outside. They think its magic.

Having both a living room (side mount) and a front overhead mount allows you or your guests to select any seating location for TV watching without holding your neck in a turn, which becomes painful fairly quickly.
