Front Radiator for Diesel Pusher?

Just curious. The other day, the engine was cold and not running, front generator cold and not running. I seem to recall that I turned on the house batteries and turned on the ignition - but did not crank it.

I noted a radiator at the front axle with an electric fan. The fan would run for half a minute, then turn off for half a minute, then repeat - as I recall.

What is the purpose of that radiator?

It's the dash A/C condenser.

That's most likely the dash air conditioning condenser. It's up front to minimize the distance traveled by the cold refrigerant.

I don't think you'll find a DP with a front radiator for the engine.

Agreed. My DP has the rear side radiator, and the lines on the front piece were way too small for use as a radiator. Then there is the generator that sits right next to this radiator - but the generator has it's own self-contained radiator, so I knew it wasn't that.

That makes sense. I'm not new to mechanics; just new to this DP. Still trying to understand the whole thing and how everything works. I don't want to be away from home, trying to determine how to address or take care of something named Surprise.

That would be something

I owned a 911 years ago and it had two front mount radiators and a rear engine. No issues except it was very difficult to flush. It kept getting air blocks in the lines connecting the motor and radiator. Had to have it towed to the shop to complete my PM. The distance for a typical DP would be 4 times what it was on the car.
