We've had a 2 door coach, one door mid coach and other by the driver. rarly used the driver door as getting in and out was not that easy. Our present coach has one mid door. i think that as much as i go in and out BBQing taking dogs for a walk etc. the mid door feels like i am entering a home. With two slides up front and one in bedroom we have more than enough living room. Plus those DP are beyond our budget.

Our coach has the door one bay forward of the rear axel. The door is opposite of the 1/2 bath so we actually gave up no space. Since he copilot's chair is more forward than if we had a front entry, we really have no wasted space. The entry door was a huge deciding factor in our purchase.

I would have certainly purchased a coach with a front entry if the floor plan fit us but I still much prefer our rear entry. Besides when we are parked, I can leave a table between the driver and passenger seat, to set my beer and chips on and never have to move it until we hit the road again.

Advantages of front door: don't use valuable wall/floor space for an entry. Closer to front seats.
Disadvantages of front door: potentially noiser with wind noise or steps rattling, not as nice of a passenger side window, entry way not under a big awning, harder to get big things in/out of the rv, putting in/out the floor covering over the steps
Our old Class A gasser had side door. New Class A DP had front door. I vote for the side door. So does wife. But not that big of a deal.
