I removed the front curtains on my 2005 Monaco Diplomat and installed an MCD double power shade. The first thing that needs to be done is a solid wood surface added to the area, up behind the front cabinets, giving something where the new shade can be attached. I used a 1" x 6" piece of wood, cut it to fit, stained it to match the cabinets and then attached it to the ceiling.
If you go with the MCD shade, it requires an EXACT measurement to make the shade fit and work correctly. To make that measurement, I used an adjustable pole, making it just fit. Power for the shade was robbed from a cabinet above.
The last consideration, the shade needs a track on both "A" pillars to slide inside, closing off the windshield. That is pretty easy with some two sided tape and angle plastic or aluminum.
