front window shade

front windshield shade will not do up and down . stops at short intervals.
2018 windsport.
any ideas

First thing I'd check is all the wiring. If it stops and starts, you might have a loose/intermittent connection either at the shade or at the switch. Do you have two sets of switches? Do they all operate the same (intermittent up and down)?

It needs to be reprogrammed.

Stopping every few inches is a sure indication that it has forgotten it's program, so it automatically only does short movement so you don't suddenly have the shade blocking you view when driving.

Assuming you have an MCD type, heres the manual ->> Read the manual - follow the instructions to the letter. Then, reread the manual regarding programming and try a second time (been there, done that).
