I retired from cat engine plant in 2009. Most of the engines there had 1 fuel filter and 2 oil filters. Only the large engines had 2 of both.

My 2006 Cat C7 has two fuel filters and only one oil filter. Here is a picture of the secondary fuel filter in my coach. BTW, by removing the floor makes changing the filter much easier, and as a bonus, you can lubricate the Pac Brake as required.

My 2004 has only one fuel filter.

02 3126, 2 fuel filters, 1 oil filter, 1 antifreeze filter, 1 air dryer filter.
