As O/P's have said you need to replace the small o-ring on the filter stud if the filter comes with one. Also read the instructions that come with the filter, they say lube the large seal with motor oil, HAND tighten only 1/4 -1/2 turn after the gasket makes contact with the housing do not over tighten, start engine check for leaks. Then when it's time to remove them next time you don't need King Kong a chain wrench and a 4' piece of pipe for a handle to get em off.
