Fuel for trip to Wyoming

I am planning a two week trip to Wyoming in about ten days. Does anyone expect diesel fuel issues along I-80, I-29 or along the way out west? We will leave southern Indiana and use 74 to 80.

I-80 is the semi capital of the U.S. There is diesel everywhere. As far as the cost, it is worth searching around.

If you are worried about the shutdown of the pipeline, don’t. It provided fuel to the southeast, not Midwest or west. As said in the post above, there are thousand and thousands of diesel trucks along I-80, and those truck are provided fuel at countless locations. BTW, stop at the I-80 “World’s Biggest Truck Stop” in Walcott, IA. They have all kinds of little things to make driving easier like a selection of lumbar seat supports. Fun place.

TA in Brooklyn, IA has the lowest price in Iowa.
If you have the TSD card it’s better.

Come on out West where the fuel is still flowing (though $1 higher per gallon than last year). By then, our snow from last night should have melted. It seems this year is setting up to precipitate every Sunday/Monday. Last two weekends were rain changing to snow.

Safe travels.

Iíll be in Kemmerer Wyoming Memorial Day weekend. Still snow by then? Iíd like it to stay above 32.

TSD Card is helpful but not a slam dunk, have to plan ahead.

I'm also liking the app FuelBook which will search prices along a route and show the top 10. So far it has been quite helpful & not sending me to tiny stations I won't fit into.

I should hope not! The US economy would grind to a halt if trucks couldn't get through rt. 80.

I too am in Indiana. Every trip on I 80 I always stop and refuel at the largest truck stop in the world, Iowa 80 truck stop.
When headed West I take I 74 to I 80 from INdy.
