fuel tank when snowbird
Would you recommend having class A diesel fuel tank full when snowbird for 6 months? Or is there a concern of the fuel souring?

Always full when storing , and with an additive, specially in humid climate!

Agree that the tank should be full, so that water does not condense in the tank. Would recommend adding a fuel additive such as Stable which works with diesel as well as gasoline.

Fill it up and add your favorite fuel conditioner . Should be good for over a year.

Thanks you all for the advice. It's what I was thinking. This is our first time snowbirding to Arizona.

I have always thought full tank then a diesel mechanic made a comment about having a full tank of bad fuel. So it's like dang if you do or dang if you don't.

I was always told full tank is best... don't think diesel has ethanol so I can't imagine it going bad...

Just got back from a trip to "use up" a tank full of 1 year old diesel. No problems, started right up, ran great. I wish I could have taken more trips this year to "keep the fuel fresher"  instead of the motorhome being lawn art, but some years are like with life events.
I had some 10 year old diesel in a tractor that starts right up too.

Full tank and if you feel like it, stop at Tractor Supply and pick up some Stabil for diesel to treat the fuel.

I always keep it filled when it's parked in case I need the Generator or need to evacuate. Also keep the Water Tank filled. It's part of my Emergency Plan to have fuel and water when everything goes south.

My approach as well. Been snow birding over 10 years doing the same thing without issues.
