Full Timer Insurance

Greetings to all, sending this message from Winnebago/ Country Coach in Junction City, OR .
Due to a 30% increase from Good Sam/ Natl General we are shopping for Full Timer insurance for our WGO Journey 42e. We have contacted just about everyone we can think of that will cover SD residents but I need to check with the real experts on the subject to make sure we aren't getting bent.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

It's not where you're a resident of, it's where you normally keep the coach.

As a full time traveler I don't have a "location" where I normally keep my coach. Did you have any suggestions regarding insurance companies.

We used Miller Insurance to do the research for us. They are experienced obtaining FT insurance for RVers. I think they are licensed in all 50 states.

They use your legal domicile for FT rates.

I too am a FT. I list my P.O. Box as my mailing address and show the address of the RV Park that I spend the most time at as the physical address. Works fine with Progressive

We're full timers also. We got our insurance with Epic Insurance in Sioux Falls, SD. Gina Shiver (605) 271-8100) there specializes in RV insurance for full timers. Great service and very responsive.

X2 on using a 'Ins Broker' such as Miller or Explorer RV
Either will get several quotes ----FT, personal, umbrella etc

We used Explorer for our agent and SD as our legal address.

And I just got word Hartford Ins is going up a lot

I called The Hartford today requesting new insurance cards and the representative told me our D/P insurance is going up this fall. Rates will be as high as 30% increase both in D/P and in our S&B. Rates are going up in South Dakota she said.

So it looks like I need to shop for new insurance for both.

We have had Hartford for 2 years and no claims. I will be watching the posts back to the OP and appreciate the input.
