Full Wall Slide Question

Hello;
We have an American Eagle 42F. It has a full drivers side slideout. Currently, we are in West Texas heading to New Mexico. Winds are about 25mph right now. The full wall slide is in right now. Can the slide be stopped halfway out with no ill effects? Looked in the book and on the web for an answer to my question with no luck.

Typically the slides do not form a good seal unless all the way in or out. Mechanically there should be no reason you can’t do it though.

You will have enough gap for a bird to fly in so no.

I’m with post #2and3 plus why your not going to gain anything you will still have topper half way out.

If your Eagle has as good of seals like my Discovery double seals, they are probably better, than you can leave it partially out.
My slides are normally out, unless it's windy then they are in. The slide topper gets a lot of abuse in winds. Very heavy rains might require in also.

Your sides may seal but when the floor comes up you will have a huge gap.

Not sure what slide system that you have, but LCI says not to stop it mid slide with their triple trac system (or other LCI trac systems)
