I am wondering if you can travel down the road with the furnace on? the engine heat/defroster will work at keep the front area somewhat warm but the back might be cold is this right or not. If a person wants to rest in bed it would get cold clear in the back.

On our vintage MH, I ran the house furnace plus the dash heat this am and almost cooked myself out. I had a T-shirt and a pair of jeans on and it was rainy and in the lower 40's. I also have a heater in the rear of the coach that has anti-freeze from the MH engine that has a fan that blows across the coil. Haven't tried that one yet. Of course I am sure it will be different come Dec when we head S to Tx. but I think we will be okay just add a sweater or a extra Blankie....

At this time of year we run with the furnaces on all the time. It's a motor HOME, and we keep it just as comfortable as our stick and mortar home when on the road.
