Furnace floor seal…

First time posting in a while. Coach has been perfect lol!

We had to use our gas furnace for the first time in a while and I was surprised to find how little heat was coming out of the floor registers, yet the one and only wall vent was quite warm. I finally looked at it last night and I believe the gasket between the furnace itself and the inlet to the floor ducts has failed. Has anybody done this job before and if so, is there anyway to do it without removing the furnace from the coach? In my Damon there is no way I can pull it inside the coach and I hate to remove it from the outside for fear of hurting my paint. And advice or experiences out there?

Wasn’t very hard. The down turn duct on the back of the furnace comes off with sheet metal screws. Removed it, made a new seal, put it back together and arctic taped all the seams. Got good heat again just in time for the cold weather to end lol

Another thing to do occasionally......take a wet rag and screw it to something flexible. Remove a few of the floor registers and swab the ducting with the rag.
