Les Schwab was the exclusive Toyo dealer for over fifty years. Loosing that had to hurt. I can see where in order to show Toyo how important they still are to Toyo tire sales in the future, there corporate strategy maybe to not recommend Toyo tires at all. Sell other brands instead and see if Toyo comes back to the negotiating table. I was constantly involved in many similar purchasing deals during my working years. Often, we were able to leverage better deals with manufacturers because of our huge purchasing volume. Wait and see, but I believe Les Schwab will be recommending Toyo tires again someday. Toyo Tire will have to feel a little sales pain before that can happen.

Great information today. Thanks to everyone for sharing their thoughts. That's what makes this site so great!
