I have used Google Satellite View to find local gas stations that will be on my route for quite some time now. My fuel range is 350 to 425 miles, allowing for a quarter tank to power the generator should I need it, so I look for stations with easy in/out access around my range area. What I have discovered over the years is that I can not foretell the incline of driveways by viewing satellite view. This presents as much of a problem for my present and past rigs (both diesel and gas) as being able to get in and out. For this reason, I use truck fueling stations as much as possible due to more gradual driveways as well as the ease to move around. The fact that I am currently using diesel makes this process much easier as many truck fueling stations can not accommodate gas rigs. When I had my gas rig I looked for Flying J’s that had separate RV fueling lanes. I use the Pilot RV Plus credit card for the discount in diesel as well as the benefit of using the card at the truck lane and not having to go into the store to pay for fuel. This is especially beneficial in these Covid times.
