Gel cell batteries

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Providence motorhome with a 350 turbo cat Diesel engine.
My question is, can I use gel cell batteries for the engine?

Do you mean AGM or actual gel cell ? Haven’t heard of any gel cells being sold lately

If your talking about AGM batteries, sure, as long as they are start type batteries with the proper CCAs. Cold Cranking Amps.

Actual " Gel " batteries are a different type of battery, no longer very popular due to the charging parameters, and very sensitive to overcharging.

You can use AMG starting batteries . The GP31 HD commercial/ agriculture lead acid batteries typically used many owners report 8-10yrs from. With only adding water twice a year. Not sure if or what type your coach has chassis charge from shore power but they often fail and chassis batts will drain .
