Talking Gen Set trouble

I have an Onan Marquis 6500 LP Gen Set in my coach that quit "ginning". It would start right up and run like a top but no "juice". I called Cummins Onan and they wouldn't even talk to me just said "you have to bring it in" acted like they wanted to get off the line so I let them. I had several people look at it and lots of suggestions. Everyone said the Gen Set would have to be removed from the coach, which ment taking the front cap off the coach. I got on line and came across Flight Systems. I called and talked to Dan. He really knows his generators and was super helpful, talking me thru the whole testing and replacing process. I cleaned the slip rings and replaced the voltage regulator with the gen set in place. It is now working like new. If any of you guys (or Gals) have Onan problems I highly recommend calling Flight Systems.

I agree, and here's a direct link to their excellent Troubleshooting guides: Troubleshooting/Cross-Reference Guides | Flight Systems
