Generator AGS Settings

I'm in a new storage setting, and no longer have the 110 plugin to keep my batteries trickle charged. I put the AGS system in service to start the generator when battery levels drop off. Issue is I'm not certain what battery voltage setpoints to use. It seems that the generator has been running a lot more than I would have expected (about 8 hr/wk) when there is no load - 12V system is switched off, and the residential frig has been turned off at the breaker.

Can anyone please help me with the appropriate voltage settings are for the AGS system? Thanks!

Of course your reasons for changing storage facilities can be many, but loosing the 110V outlet for tending your batteries would have been a deal breaker for me. Leaving those systems unattended would seem shaky at best to me, not to mention 8 hrs. @ $3 per gal. per Hr. min. providing everything works perfectly. Were the batteries even topped off to float charge, let alone equalization or DE-sulforization?
That being said your battery bank 50% capacity rating voltage might be a somewhat arbitrary number. What type of batteries and configuration? Some might argue 12.2V but it is really more determined by wattage in and out VS standing resting voltage.

I do that when I bring the rv home to load and unload, but never at the storage facility...

Since there seems to be a lot of parasitic draws on all rv's with disconnects that don't really disconnect

How about installing a battery disconnect on the negative side of your battery bank just to isolate your batteries, with no load they will last a long time...

baring that, I set y AGS @ 12 or 12.2 volts...
