Generator DEAD? Nothing!

Greetings all;
I just went to de-winterize my RV, and decided it was time to replace the batteries in the Newmar Canyon Star 3811.
I replaced all the batteries, since when we bought it, the sellers agent replaced the batteries with used batteries.
So, no, the house lights work, door step retracts and extends.
But the generator is DEAD.
I mean, nothing.
Tried the STOP button to prime it.Nothing happens.
Tried to crank, nothing. No turn-over, no noise, nothing.
Not sure if I might have caused something to blow?
Thoughts?
Thanks
Anyone have service dealers in Ashville NC for RV?

Did the genset start with the old batteries ?

Have you checked that ALL the wires are properly connected to the batteries ?

Newmar installed a high am circuit breaker in the power cable to my genset , about 3' from the batteries positive post and something you've done may have tripped it .
You may have to go under the coach behind the battery tray to locate it .
Manual reset .

Genset ran before batteries replaced.
Batteries show 12.5 Volts (Seems low for NEW)
OK, connected a new ground.
Made sure all connections were good.
Found the hi-amp (See pic).
Checked power in and power out. Hot on both sides.
Went to gen switch, no power on either side of it.
No power to generator post in Gen bay, no power when inside witch pushed, no power when manual switch pushed.
Sadly, think my only option now is Camping World.

As Skip426 mentioned, check for a cable that was not reattached. Or work back from the generator and follow the positive lead. There should be power to the generator start solenoid at all times.

Also try the 'trip & reset' of the breaker, can't hurt.

You have a cable disconnected, or mis-connected.

I agree that you probably missed a cable. Look carefully around everywhere that you were working.

It pays to take pictures with your phone prior to disconnecting wires. A cable is easily missed when it slides down between the battery and a side wall. You got to check. It sounds like a cable at the battery bank did not get put back on. If it is not at the battery, it is between the battery and the gen set.

A 70 amp C/B doesn't sound like enough. Mine is 150 amp because it has to handle the gen set starter load and all Newmar installed items in the front of the coach .

Freightliner also uses a high amp in the chassis power cable to the front of my coach. Disconnect the chassis battery and re-test the C/B you found for power to see if you've found the coach C/B and not just the one for the chassis .

BTW: Over the years coach manufacturers have flip-flopped on genset starting power , between the chassis batteries and coach batteries .
Are your chassis batteries turned on and charged?

Speaking about the Hi-Amp?
Is it a push button kinda thing?
Is there another CB for the GenSet?

The 70A CB you show is one that cannot be tripped and reset, my bad. Still, follow the cable back from the generator to see if there is another CB.

Please do not shout.

Generally "no" they will start from the house batteries.

I'm on phone app if you have MH in signature I can't see it. You didnt list in about me either. Separate gen. battery is not the norm ,some are on chassis others house batts. Some years American brand coaches had separate gen. Battery. What's yours.
