Check to make sure the breakers on the gen set are turned on. If your coach doesnt have an auto changeover switch, then you need to plug your shorepower cord into an outlet that should be in the same compartment. This will complete the circuit for the generator.

Assuming you are still without generator power

The onan has a circuit breaker (red reset switch) that us clearly visible once you slide out the generator. Either on the top or side outside the cover
You may need to cycle this switch to reset it
Keep in mind the reason it tripped is because you asked it to do more work than it was rated to handle. You can probably trip it again without trying hard

Hi Seagrouch,

Welcome to IRV2. I see you have a 2012 motorhome so you probably bought it new, and it may be your first. Everyone is at a different stage of knowledge for their RV's, but there should be a big packet of manuals for literally everything in the coach. There is good information in these manuals, so I suggest spending some time familiarizing yourself with everything

As always, the people on IRV2 are very helpful and will assist...
