Generator just stopped running. Checked the lines going into and out of the fuel pump and filter. Fuel flows thru just fine. Changed air filter.

Blinks once code 9

On on quite drive 7500

Any ideas?

The 7500 is diesel, check fuel filter, clean exhaust pipe(part of general maintenance),check oil and coolant level. How many hours, has normal maintenance been performed? could not find code.

I believe a Quiet Drive 7500 is a Cummins diesel generator. Good luck changing that spark plug.

I assume you have sufficient fuel in the tank.

Make sure you have more the 1/4 tank of fuel, mine will not run without enough fuel in tank.

Assume the fuel pump is running and priming. Change fuel filter.

Also, check the blink codes again. There are 2 series of codes, the first on is a general fault code, the second series is more specific to cause. The second series is two digits so there will be a slight pause between blinks.

There is not a code 9.

Sorry everybody. It was code 19. To get to the spark plugs you gotta pull it outta the front end. That will take a few more people, mainly to get it back..lol

Another thread described code 19 as..
7.5KW Onan Quiet Diesel. A Code 19, is a "Governor Actuator Fault", which it further explains as "Controller sensed a short or open circuit"

If you can download the manuals to your laptop it'll make problem chasing easier, I printed and 3 ringed mine as well as keeping the pdf in case the power is out.
